The Saskatchewan Roughriders signed defensive tackle Thor Griffith on Monday.

Thor Griffith is six foot two and weighs 290 pounds. A native of Portsmouth, New Hampshire, Griffith signed with the Seattle Seahawks as an undrafted free agent on July 29, 2025. The Seahawks released him on July 31, 2025.

Collegiately, Griffith spent four seasons at Harvard (2020-23) with 132 tackles (64 solos, 68 assists), 33.5 tackles for loss, 13.5 sacks, and two forced fumbles in 30 games for the Crimson. In 2021, he was a finalist for the Jerry Rice Award, given to the top freshman in the country, Second Team Freshman All-American by Phil Steele, and HERO Sports FCS Freshman All-America Team after finishing the season with 31 tackles (15 solos, 16 assists), 10.5 sacks, five sacks, and one forced fumble in 10 games.

In 2023, he made a career-high 55 tackles (25 solos, 30 assists), 11 tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks, and one forced fumble in 10 games. He was named a two-time First Team All-Ivy League (2022-23) and First Team FCS All-American in 2023.

Then, he transferred to Louisville in 2024 with 20 tackles (14 solos, 6 assists), 4.5 tackles for loss, three sacks, and one forced fumble in 13 games for the Cardinals.
