The Montreal Alouettes signed running back Jeffery Pittman and offensive lineman Blake Bustard on Monday.
Jeffery Pittman is six foot one and weighs 215 pounds. The 23-year-old from Taylorsville, Mississippi, Pittman began his collegiate career at Hinds Community College (2021-22) with 304 carries for 1,762 yards, 33 rushing touchdowns, 24 catches for 180 yards, one touchdown, four kick returns for 76 yards, and one tackle (1 solo) in 18 games for the Eagles.
In 2021, he had a career-high 169 carries for 1,111 yards, 23 rushing touchdowns, 12 catches for 107 yards, one touchdown, four kick returns for 76 yards, and one tackle (1 solo) in 10 games. He was named First Team All-MACCC and Region XXIII MVP in 2021, Second Team All-MACCC in 2022.
Next, he transferred to Mississippi State (2023-24) with 54 carries for 268 yards, one rushing touchdown, 13 catches for 91 yards, two touchdowns, and one kick return for 10 yards in 11 games for the Bulldogs.
Then, he transferred to Southern Mississippi in 2025 with 156 carries for 695 yards, eight rushing touchdowns, 24 catches for 106 yards, and two tackles (2 solos) in 11 games for the Golden Eagles.
Blake Bustard is six foot seven and weighs 317 pounds. The 24-year-old from Muskegon, Michigan, began his collegiate career at Wayne State University (2020-23), playing left tackle and right tackle in 24 games, of which 19 were starts for the Warriors. He was named an All-American Honorable Mention by Hanson Football and First Team All-GLIAC in 2022. In 2023, he was named to the GLIAC All-Academic Team.
Next, he transferred to Eastern Michigan University in 2024, playing nine games for the Eagles. Eastern Michigan averaged 24 points per game, 234.8 passing yards per game, 142.5 rushing yards per game, 377.2 yards per game, and 34 touchdowns.
Then, he transferred to Southern Mississippi in 2025, playing 10 games for the Golden Eagles. Southern Miss averaged 28.8 points per game, 401.6 yards per game, 266 passing yards per game, 135.6 rushing yards per game, and 47 touchdowns.
