The B.C. Lions signed defensive back Jhamell Blenman on Thursday according to the CFL Transactions page.
Jhamell Blenman is five foot nine and weighs 190 pounds. The 22-year-old from Compton, California, began his collegiate career at Washington State in 2021 as a redshirt freshman for the Cougars.
Next, he transferred to Cerritos College in 2022 with 38 tackles (25 solos, 13 assists), one interception, one pass breakup, and five kick returns for 99 yards in 10 games for the Falcons.
Then, he transferred to the University of Idaho (2023-25) with 62 tackles (31 solos, 31 assists), four tackles for loss, two interceptions for 15 yards, 10 pass breakups, and one forced fumble in 27 games for the Vandals. In 2025, he had a career-high 44 tackles (18 solos, 26 assists), three tackles for loss, two interceptions for 15 yards, and eight pass breakups.
