The Toronto Argonauts signed quarterback Anthony Guercio and defensive lineman Jalen Bell on Friday.

Anthony Guercio is five foot eleven and weighs 200 pounds. A native of North Olmsted, Ohio, Guercio began his collegiate career at Fairmont State University in 2021, completing 11 of 25 passes (44%) for 235 yards, two touchdowns, one interception, and 14 carries for -52 yards in two games for the Fighting Falcons.

Then, he transferred to Clarion University (2023-2025), completing 344 of 566 passes (61%) for 4,743 yards, 37 touchdowns, 16 interceptions, 358 carries for 1,524 yards, and 23 rushing touchdowns in 28 games for the Golden Eagles. In 2025, Guercio was named First Team All-PSAC after finishing the season completing 147 of 221 passes (67%) for 2,081 yards, 19 touchdowns, five interceptions, 111 carries for 463 yards, and seven rushing touchdowns in nine games.

Jalen Bell is five foot eleven and weighs 280 pounds. A native of Detroit, Michigan, Bell began his collegiate career at Mississippi Valley State University (2019-22) with 113 tackles (55 solos, 58 assists), 26.5 tackles for loss, 12 sacks, four forced fumbles, and four fumble recoveries in 30 games for the Delta Devils. He was named Third Team All-SWAC by Phil Steele in 2021 and 2022.

Next, Bell transferred to Tennessee State University (2023-24) with 24 tackles (15 solos, 9 assists), seven tackles for loss, and 2.5 sacks in six games for the Tigers. Then, he transferred to the University of Memphis in 2025 with five tackles (2 solos, 3 assists), 1.5 tackles for loss, and a half sack in two games for the Tigers.
