The Montreal Alouettes signed defensive tackle Daniel Wise to a two-year contract on Wednesday.
Daniel Wise is six foot three and weighs 285 pounds. The 30-year-old from Carrollton, Texas, was released by the Michigan Panthers on March 1, 2025.
The Dallas Cowboys signed Wise as an undrafted free agent on May 10, 2019. He also spent time with the Arizona Cardinals and the Washington Commanders. In Washington, Wise made 11 tackles (5 solos, 6 assists), one tackle for loss, and one quarterback hit in 17 games, of which two were starts.
The Kansas City Chiefs signed Wise on January 4, 2023. In 2023, he made four tackles (3 solos, 1 assist) and one quarterback hit in three preseason games. The Chiefs released Wise on August 29, 2023.
The Michigan Panthers signed Wise on December 19, 2023. In 2024, Wise made 16 tackles (7 solos, 9 assists), three tackles for loss, and 1.5 sacks in five games before an injury ended his season. Wise was named to the All-UFL Team in 2024. The Panthers re-signed him on November 12, 2024.
Collegiately, Wise played four seasons at Kansas (2015-18) with 152 tackles (108 solos, 44 assists), 43 tackles for loss, 17 sacks, one fumble recovery, two forced fumbles, and two pass breakups in 42 games for the Jayhawks. He was a two-time First Team All-Big 12.
