The Orlando Storm (2-0) hosted the Louisville Kings (0-2) on Saturday night in front of 8,585 fans at Inter&Co Stadium.

For the majority of the first half, it was all field goals. Orlando kicker Michael Lantz made a 57-yard field goal and a 26-yard field goal, while Louisville kicker Tanner Brown made three field goals from 42 yards, 41 yards, and 32 yards to give the Kings a 9-6 lead with two minutes left of the second quarter.

Orlando quarterback Jack Plummer took off for a four-yard gain before he was hit by Eric Garror and landed on his left shoulder. He went out for a couple of plays, and Dorian Thompson-Robinson took over. Robinson completed two passes for 19 yards and ran for six yards before Plummer returned to the game.

Plummer returned to the game and threw a 41-yard touchdown pass to K.J. Hamler. Orlando kicker Michael Lantz missed the field goal, and the Storm led the Kings 12-9 at halftime.

This game was all about defense, and both defenses kept each other out of the endzone in the third quarter. In the fourth quarter, Orlando quarterback Jack Plummer completed a short pass to Elijhah Badger, who took it for a 39-yard touchdown to cap off an eight-play drive for 75 yards. The Orlando Storm went on to beat the Louisville Kings by the final score of 19-9.

Orlando’s offense had 279 yards (201 passing yards, 89 rushing yards), 15 first downs, and the team was penalized five times. Quarterback Jack Plummer completed 18 of 23 passes (78.3%) for 182 yards, two touchdowns, one interception, and four carries for four yards.

Running back Jashaun Corbin had 19 carries for 51 yards and two catches for eight yards. Wide receiver K.J. Hamler made two catches for 59 yards and one touchdown, while Elijhah Badger made four catches for 59 yards and one touchdown. The defense made 41 tackles, five tackles for loss, two sacks, one interception, and three pass breakups.

Louisville’s offense had 216 yards (200 passing yards, 27 rushing yards), nine first downs, and the team was penalized nine times. Quarterback Jason Bean completed 4 of 15 passes (26.7%) for 49 yards, and two carries for two yards, while backup quarterback Chandler Rogers completed 13 of 20 passes (65%) for 151 yards, one interception, and one carry for 12 yards.

Running back Jaden Shirden had one carry for seven yards. Tight end Tre’ McKitty led the receivers with two catches for 39 yards, while Kaden Prather made four catches for 38 yards. The defense made 71 tackles, six tackles for loss, two sacks, one interception, and three pass breakups.

Next Friday, the two teams will meet again at Lynn Family Stadium at 8 pm on Fox.
