The Calgary Stampeders signed running back and special teams returner Tyreik McAllister on Tuesday.
Tyreik McAllister is five foot eleven and weighs 180 pounds. The 27-year-old from Latta, South Carolina, was drafted by the Columbus Aviators in the 2026 UFL Draft. He attended training camp, and the Aviators released him on March 19, 2026.
The Denver Broncos signed McAllister as an undrafted free agent on May 13, 2022. In 2022, he dealt with a hamstring injury. Despite the injury, he spent the season on the practice squad before the Broncos released him on May 31, 2023.
The Hamilton Tiger-Cats signed McAllister on June 14, 2023. In 2023, he made 13 carries for 52 yards, 27 catches for 364 yards, two touchdowns, 41 kick returns for 1,071 yards (25.3 AVG), one tackle, and two tackles on special teams in 16 games.
The Tiger-Cats released McAllister on January 15, 2024, and he signed with the Las Vegas Raiders on January 16, 2024. In 2024, he had one carry for seven yards, two catches for 56 yards, one touchdown, four kick returns for 116 yards, and three punt returns for 112 yards in three preseason games.
In the regular season, McAllister had two carries for 11 yards, two kick returns for 49 yards, two punt returns for 24 yards, and one tackle (1 solo) in three games. The Raiders re-signed McAllister on January 6, 2025. They released him on May 12, 2025.
Collegiately, McAllister spent five seasons at the University of Charleston (2017-21) with 355 carries for 2,561 yards, 26 touchdowns, 113 catches for 1,047 yards, four touchdowns, 17 kick returns for 332 yards, 18 punt returns for 181 yards, and two tackles (1 solo, 1 assist) in 38 games for the Golden Eagles. He was named First Team All-MEAC in 2019.
