The NTT IndyCar Series held qualifying on Saturday to set the field for Sunday’s Children’s of Alabama Indy Grand Prix at Barber Motorsports Park in Leeds, Alabama.
Chip Ganassi Racing driver Alex Palou won the pole for the first time this year with a lap time of 1:06.2341 at 125.011 mph. It is Palou’s 13th career IndyCar pole. Team Penske driver David Malukas qualified second with a lap time of 1:06.3478 at 124.797 mph.
The Children’s of Alabama Indy Grand Prix gets underway on Sunday at 1 pm on Fox.
