The NASCAR Cup Series visited Darlington Raceway on Sunday afternoon in the Goodyear 400. The 23XI teammates started the race on the front row with Tyler Reddick on the pole, and Bubba Wallace starting second.

The majority of the race was dominated by Brad Keselowski, who led a race-high 142 of 293 laps, including sweeping both stages. Keselowski’s teammate, Chris Buescher, also had a good race, leading 41 laps. However, Buescher’s day almost ended on lap 240 when he attempted to come to pit road and made contact with Tyler Reddick. Luckily, both drivers were able to continue the race.

Before the race started, Tyler Reddick experienced an electrical issue before the race began. He went to pit road, and his team changed the battery and checked the alternator belt. Because pit road was not open at the time, Reddick had to restart at the tail end of the field to begin the second stage. In addition, Reddick’s cool suit was also not working.

Despite having electrical issues and contact with Chris Buescher, Reddick still somehow found himself racing for the win. There were two cautions throughout the race. On lap 112, Erik Jones and Denny Hamlin made contact at Turn 3, and on lap 198, Riley Herbst spun before making contact with the wall on the frontstretch.

On lap 266, Tyler Reddick blew by Keselowski to take the lead and never looked back. He led the final 28 laps to win his fourth race of the season by 5.847 seconds over Brad Keselowski. It was Reddick’s 12th career Cup Series win.

Ryan Blaney, Carson Hocevar, and Austin Cindric rounded out the top five. Ty Gibbs, Daniel Suarez, William Byron, Chris Buescher, and Erik Jones completed the top ten.

The Cup Series heads to Martinsville Speedway next Sunday at 3:30 pm on FS1.
