The Berlin Thunder signed wide receiver Jon Cole on Saturday.
Jon Cole is five foot ten and weighs 181 pounds. The 29-year-old from Dallas, Texas, played for the Fehervar Enthroners of the European League of Football in 2025, where he was named the ELF Comeback Player of the Year after finishing the season with 101 catches for 1,147 yards and 12 touchdowns in nine games.
In 2023, he played for the Kirchdorf Wildcats of the GFL2 league with 44 catches for 1,024 yards, 15 touchdowns, 37 carries for 437 yards, six touchdowns, eight kick returns for 300 yards, one touchdown, eight punt returns for 200 yards, and one touchdown in nine games.
The Munich Ravens signed Cole on January 7, 2024. In 2024, he made 10 catches for 102 yards and two touchdowns in four games before an injury ended his season.
Collegiately, Cole played three seasons at Pima Community College (2016-18) with 45 catches for 791 yards, ten touchdowns, eight carries for 84 yards, four kick returns for 132 yards, and seven punt returns for 141 yards in 16 games for the Aztecs. He was named Second Team All-ACCAC.
Then, Cole transferred to Arizona Christian University in 2021 with 81 catches for 1,219 yards, 12 touchdowns, one carry for eight yards, four punt returns for 42 yards, and one touchdown in nine games for the Firestorm. He was named First Team NAIA All-American, SAC Athlete of the Year, and First Team All-SAC.
