The St. Louis Battlehawks are releasing quarterback Ben Wooldridge on Wednesday according to James Larsen. Larsen further reported that the team plans to sign quarterback Michael Pratt.
Ben Wooldridge is six foot three and weighs 216 pounds. The 26-year-old from Pleasanton, California, was drafted by the St. Louis Battlehawks in the 2026 UFL Quarterback Draft.
The New England Patriots signed Wooldridge as an undrafted free agent on May 9, 2025. In 2025, he completed 26 of 45 passes (57.8%) for 269 yards, two touchdowns, one interception, and three carries for 13 yards in three preseason games. The Patriots released him on August 22, 2025.
Collegiately, Woodridge spent two seasons at Fresno State (2018-20), completing 12 of 22 passes (54.5%) for 147 yards, one touchdown, and four carries for 26 yards in five games for the Bulldogs.
Then, he transferred to Louisiana-Lafayette (2022-24), completing 369 of 604 passes (61%) for 4,622 yards, 37 touchdowns, 12 interceptions, 129 carries for 447 yards, nine rushing touchdowns, and one tackle (1 solo) in 24 games for the Ragin’ Cajuns. He was named First Team All-Sun Belt Conference and the Sun Belt Offensive Player of the Year in 2024.
Michael Pratt is six foot two and weighs 217 pounds. The 24-year-old from Miami, Florida, was drafted by the St. Louis Battlehawks in the 2026 UFL Quarterback Draft.
The Green Bay Packers drafted Pratt in the seventh round (245th pick) of the 2024 NFL Draft. In 2024, he completed 23 of 35 passes (65.7%) for 178 yards, one touchdown, one interception, and two carries for six yards in three preseason games. The Packers released him on August 27, 2024.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers signed Pratt to the practice squad on August 29, 2024. He re-signed with the Buccaneers on January 14, 2025. He was placed on the Physically Unable to Perform List and was released on August 21, 2025.
Collegiately, Pratt spent four seasons at Tulane (2020-23), completing 703 of 1,170 passes (60%) for 9,286 yards, 88 touchdowns, 26 interceptions, 438 carries for 1,163 yards, 27 rushing touchdowns, and two tackles (2 solos) in 44 games for the Green Wave. He was named Second Team All-AAC in 2022, First Team All-AAC in 2023, AAC Offensive Player of the Year in 2023, and the AAC Championship Game MVP in 2023.
