The B.C. Lions signed quarterback Tommy Rittenhouse on Wednesday.

Tommy Rittenhouse is five foot eleven and weighs 195 pounds. The 23-year-old from Geneva, Illinois, spent five seasons at Illinois State (2021-25), completing 669 of 1,032 passes (65%) for 7,117 yards, 60 touchdowns, 21 interceptions, 235 carries for 1,145 yards, 19 rushing touchdowns, one catch for one yard, and one receiving touchdown in 44 games for the Redbirds.

In 2024, he was named an All-MVFC Honorable Mention after finishing the season completing 259 of 390 passes (66%) for 2,840 yards, 17 touchdowns, seven interceptions, 78 carries for 480 yards, and eight rushing touchdowns in 14 games.

In 2025, he was named an All-MVFC Honorable Mention for the second consecutive season after finishing the season completing 334 of 516 passes (65%) for 3,568 yards, 40 touchdowns, 12 interceptions, 107 carries for 428 yards, seven rushing touchdowns, one catch for one yard, and one receiving touchdown in 17 games.

Rittenhouse attended St. Francis High School, where as a junior completed 132 passes for 1,967 yards, while rushing for 493 yards and 29 total touchdowns. He won numerous awards, including being named the Metro Suburban Conference Offensive MVP, All-Conference Honors, All-Arena Honors, and All-State Honorable Mention. He helped St. Francis appear in the conference championship and earn a berth in the quarterfinals of the state playoffs.
