The Calgary Stampeders extended the contract of offensive lineman D’Antne Demery through the 2027 season on Thursday. Demery was already under contract through the 2026 season.

D’Antne Demery is six foot four and weighs 320 pounds. The 28-year-old from Brunswick, Georgia, re-signed with the Stampeders on December 20, 2024. In 2025, he started 15 games at left tackle.

Calgary’s offense averaged 24.8 points per game, 375.6 net offense per game, 261.9 passing yards per game, 126.7 rushing yards per game, 44 touchdowns, and allowed 33 sacks. The Stampeders finished the season with an 11-7 record, losing to the B.C. Lions in the Western Semi-Final.

The Edmonton Elks signed Demery on May 24, 2021. He started one game at left tackle and was placed on injured reserve. In 2022, he spent most of the season on the practice squad. The Elks released him on July 17, 2022. The Calgary Stampeders signed Demery on March 2, 2023.

In 2023, he started 10 games playing left tackle. In 2023, Calgary’s offense ranked fourth in average points (21.8), sixth in average rushing yards (99.5), seventh in offensive touchdowns (33) and passing yards average (237.0), eighth in net offense average (321.5), and third in sacks allowed (34).

In 2024, he started 13 games at left tackle. Calgary’s offense averaged 21.5 points per game, 354.1 net offense per game, 108.6 rushing yards per game, 260.1 passing yards per game, 40 touchdowns, and allowed 30 sacks.

Collegiately, Demery played one season at Hutchinson Community College Blue Dragons in 2017. In 2017, Hutchinson’s offense averaged 318.3 total yards per game, 176.8 rushing yards per game, 141.4 passing yards per game, and 32.3 points per game, finishing 7-5 in the season.

Then, he transferred to Florida International (2018-20), playing left tackle in 26 games, of which 25 were starts. In 2019, Demery was part of an offensive line that allowed 14 sacks, which tied for the fifth-lowest in the nation and first in C-USA and also ranked as the third-lowest in FIU history. In addition, the offensive line paved the way for three straight 100-yard rushing games for Anthony Jones, the most since Rashod Smith in 2004.

In 2018, Demery played 11 games at left tackle and was part of an offensive line that allowed a school-record-low eight sacks, which ranked first in Conference USA and third overall in the nation. Demery was named a two-time All-Conference USA Honorable Mention and a 2019 Athlon Sports Preseason All-Conference USA Second Team.
