Winnipeg Blue Bombers quarterback Chase Artopoeus announced his retirement on Wednesday via his Instagram page.

Chase Artopoeus is six foot two and weighs 208 pounds. The 25-year-old from Orcutt, California, signed with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers on April 30, 2025. In 2025, he completed 6 of 9 passes (66%) for 54 yards in two preseason games. He would later dress in five regular-season games.

Collegiately, Artopoeus spent four seasons at UCLA (2019-22), where he appeared in two games for the Bruins. Then, he transferred to the University of Chattanooga (2023-24), completing 262 of 433 passes (61%) for 3,730 yards, 23 touchdowns, nine interceptions, 76 carries for 152 yards, four touchdowns, punting the ball two times for 72 yards (36.0 AVG), with a long of 42 yards, one touchback, one from inside the 20-yard line, two tackles (1 solo, 1 assist), and one forced fumble in 16 games for the Mocs.

In 2024, he completed 75 of 135 passes (56%) for 1,058 yards, three touchdowns, two interceptions, 17 carries for six yards, three touchdowns, and one tackle (1 solo) in five games.
