The Louisville Kings signed defensive ends Nate Matlack and T.K. McLendon Jr. on Tuesday according to the UFL Transactions page.

Nate Matlack is six foot five and weighs 250 pounds. The 23-year-old from Olathe, Kansas, signed with the Kansas City Chiefs as an undrafted free agent on August 11, 2025. In 2025, Matlack made five tackles (4 solos, 1 assist) in two preseason games. The Chiefs released him on August 26, 2025.

Collegiately, Matlack spent four seasons at Kansas State (2020-23) with 39 tackles (30 solos, 9 assists), 16 tackles for loss, 9.5 sacks, three pass breakups, two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, and one blocked kick. In 2021, he was named an Honorable Mention of the Big 12 Defensive Freshman of the Year after finishing the season with 17 tackles (13 solos, 4 assists), 5.5 tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks, one pass breakup, and two forced fumbles in 13 games.

Then, he transferred to Pittsburgh in 2024 with 22 tackles (18 solos, 4 assists), 7.5 tackles for loss, five sacks, three pass breakups, and one forced fumble in 13 games for the Panthers.

T.K. McLendon Jr. is six foot four and weighs 275 pounds. The 27-year-old from Soperton, Georgia, signed with the Tennessee Titans as an undrafted free agent on May 12, 2023. In 2023, McLendon Jr. made eight tackles (3 solos, 5 assists) and one fumble recovery in seven games. In 2024, he made four tackles (4 solos) in two preseason games. He suffered a toe injury and was placed on injured reserve. He became a free agent after the season.

Collegiately, McLendon Jr. spent two seasons at Copiah–Lincoln Community College (2017-18), where he was a tight end with eight catches for 106 yards and two touchdowns in 18 games for the Wolves. In 2017, he made three catches for 63 yards and one touchdown in nine games.

Next, he transferred to LSU (2019-20) with one catch for 12 yards in three games for the Tigers. Then, he transferred to Eastern Kentucky University (2021-22) with 84 tackles (44 solos, 40 assists), 12.5 tackles for loss, seven sacks, four pass breakups, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery in 21 games for the Colonels. In 2022, he had a career-high 60 tackles (33 solos, 27 assists), 11 tackles for loss, six sacks, three pass breakups, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery in 12 games.
