The Hamilton Tiger-Cats signed defensive back Stephen Douglas on Tuesday.
Stephen Douglas is five foot eleven and weighs 192 pounds. The 24-year-old from Conifer, Colorado, began his collegiate career at Albion College (2021-22) with 42 tackles (31 solos, 11 assists), three tackles for loss, one interception for 18 yards, three pass breakups, one forced fumble, and one blocked kick in 11 games for the Britons.
Then, he transferred to Northwood University (2023-24) with 103 tackles (73 solos, 30 assists), 3.5 tackles for loss, two interceptions for 116 yards, one touchdown, eight pass breakups, and one blocked kick that resulted in scoring two points in 16 games for the Timberwolves.
In 2023, he was named Northwood’s Newcomer of the Year and First Team All-GMAC after finishing the season with a career-high 78 tackles (55 solos, 23 assists), three tackles for loss, two interceptions for 116 yards, one touchdown, eight pass breakups, and one blocked kick that resulted in scoring two points in 11 games. Douglas set a school record with a 100-yard pick-six touchdown.
