The Houston Gamblers signed running back Jalen White and released running back Nate McCrary on Friday according to the UFL Transactions page.
Jalen White is six foot and weighs 205 pounds. The 23-year-old from Leavenworth, Kansas, signed with the Green Bay Packers as an undrafted free agent on May 2, 2025. In 2025, he had two carries for 16 yards in one preseason game. The Packers released him on August 21, 2025.
Collegiately, White spent five seasons at Georgia Southern University (2020-24) with 573 carries for 3,016 yards, 36 rushing touchdowns, 60 catches for 365 yards, two touchdowns, and four touchdowns in 36 games for the Eagles.
In 2022, he had 162 carries for a career-high 914 yards, 10 rushing touchdowns, 22 catches for 217 yards, one touchdown, and two tackles (2 solos) in 11 games. In 2024, he had a career-high 163 carries for 744 yards, 13 rushing touchdowns, 20 catches for 69 yards, and one tackle (1 solo) in 13 games. White was named a two-time Third Team All-Sun Belt Conference, Sun Belt Conference Honorable Mention, and Fourth Team All-Sun Belt Conference by Phil Steele.
Nate McCrary is six foot two and weighs 213 pounds. The 26-year-old from Muskegon, Michigan, was drafted by the Houston Gamblers in the 2026 UFL Draft.
The Baltimore Ravens signed McCrary as an undrafted free agent on May 13, 2021. In 2021, he had 42 carries for 163 yards, one touchdown, and three catches for 42 yards in three preseason games. The Ravens released him on August 31, 2021.
McCrary also spent time with the Denver Broncos and the Cleveland Browns. He was released by the Browns on October 31, 2023. McCrary has played one regular-season game for the Ravens in 2021 with one carry for -1 yard.
The Michigan Panthers signed McCrary on December 8, 2023. In 2024, McCrary had 16 carries for 60 yards, one touchdown, and two catches for 26 yards in four games. In the USFL Conference Championship Game against the Birmingham Stallions, McCrary had 11 carries for 62 yards.
The Panthers released him on August 13, 2024. McCrary signed with the Green Bay Packers on August 14, 2024. He played two preseason games with 14 carries for 75 yards and made two catches for four yards in two preseason games to earn a spot on the practice squad. The Packers released him on September 6, 2024.
The Panthers re-signed McCrary on October 3, 2024. In 2025, he had 97 carries for 380 yards, two rushing touchdowns, and nine catches for 57 yards in 10 games. In the playoffs, he had six carries for 62 yards and one touchdown in two games.
Collegiately, McCrary played four seasons at Saginaw Valley State (2016-19) with 377 carries for 1,889 yards, 28 touchdowns, 12 catches for 150 yards, one touchdown, and nine kick returns for 123 yards in 33 games for the Cardinals. He was named First Team All-GLIAC in 2019.
