The St. Louis Battlehawks signed linebacker LaVonta Bentley on Saturday according to the UFL Transactions page.
LaVonta Bently is six foot and weighs 235 pounds. The 25-year-old from Birmingham, Alabama, attended the Cincinnati Bengals and Denver Broncos rookie minicamps in 2025.
Collegiately, Bentley spent four seasons at Clemson (2019-22) with 68 tackles (44 solos, 24 assists), 11.5 tackles for loss, 5.5 sacks, and two forced fumbles in 39 games for the Tigers.
Then, he transferred to Colorado (2023-24) with 123 tackles (74 solos, 49 assists), 15 tackles for loss, six sacks, two pass breakups, one forced fumble, and two fumble recoveries in 25 games for the Buffaloes.
In 2023, he had a career-high 68 tackles (40 solos, 28 assists), 11 tackles for loss, five sacks, and two pass breakups in 12 games. In 2024, he made 55 tackles (34 solos, 21 assists), four tackles for loss, one sack, one forced fumble, and two fumble recoveries in 13 games.
