The Ottawa Redblacks signed wide receiver Christan Horn on Friday according to the CFL Transactions page.
Christan Horn is six foot one and weighs 190 pounds. A native of Columbia, South Carolina, Horn signed with the Jacksonville Sharks of the Indoor Football League on October 21, 2025.
Collegiately, Horn spent five seasons at Appalachian State (2020-24) with 98 catches for 1,678 yards, 11 touchdowns, and three tackles (2 solos, 1 assist) in 57 games for the Mountaineers.
In 2022, he had a career-high 34 catches for 620 yards and four touchdowns in 12 games. In 2023, he made 36 catches for 566 yards, six touchdowns, and two tackles (1 solo, 1 assist) in 14 games. He concluded his collegiate career in 2024 with 20 catches for 367 yards, one touchdown, and one tackle (1 solo) in nine games.
Horn earned a spot in the App State record books by averaging 17.1 yards per catch. He also had four games with 100-plus receiving yards and was named a two-time captain.
