The Orlando Storm transferred linebacker Grayson Murphy to the retired list on Friday according to the UFL Transactions page.

Grayson Murphy is six foot two and weighs 255 pounds. The 25-year-old from Dallas, Texas, was drafted by the Orlando Storm in the 2026 UFL Draft.

The Miami Dolphins signed Murphy as an undrafted free agent on May 10, 2024. In 2024, he made one tackle (1 solo) in one preseason game. In 2025, he made five tackles (5 solos), two sacks, and six quarterback hits in three preseason games. The Dolphins released him on August 26, 2025.

Collegiately, Murphy spent three seasons at North Texas (2019-21) with 57 tackles (25 solos, 32 assists), 18.5 tackles for loss, 11.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, and one touchdown in 25 games for the Mean Green.

In 2021, he was named Third Team All-Conference USA by PFF and an All-Conference USA Honorable Mention after finishing the season with a career-high 38 tackles (18 solos, 20 assists), 14.5 tackles for loss, 8.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, and one touchdown in 13 games.

Then, he transferred to UCLA (2022-23) with 58 tackles (40 solos, 18 assists), 18 tackles for loss, 10 sacks, two pass breakups, and forced fumbles in 26 games for the Bruins. In 2023, he was an All-Pac 12 Honorable Mention after finishing the season with 32 tackles (23 solos, 9 assists), nine tackles for loss, five sacks, one pass breakup, and two forced fumbles in 13 games.
