The Calgary Stampeders signed offensive linemen Gerald Mincey and Chris Murray on Friday.
Gerald Mincey is six foot six and weighs 325 pounds. The 23-year-old from Pompano Beach, Florida, began his collegiate career at Florida (2020-21). He made his debut at the 2020 Cotton Bowl against Oklahoma. In 2021, he dressed for ten games as a reserve lineman.
Next, he transferred to Tennessee (2022-23), playing 21 games, of which 13 were starts for the Volunteers. He started seven games at left tackle in 2022 and six starts at right tackle in 2023. In 2023, Mincey had 510 snaps and allowed two sacks. Tennessee averaged 31.8 points per game, 448.1 yards per game, 243.2 passing yards per game, 204.8 rushing yards per game, and 51 touchdowns.
Then, he transferred to Kentucky in 2024, playing seven games for the Wildcats. He totaled 25 blocks and allowed two sacks. Kentucky averaged 20.6 points per game, 330.4 yards per game, 184.8 passing yards per game, 145.6 rushing yards per game, and 29 touchdowns.
Chris Murray is six foot two and weighs 308 pounds. The 25-year-old from Los Angeles, California, signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent on May 13, 2023. In 2023, he played in three preseason games. The Buccaneers released him on August 29, 2023. The Massachusetts Pirates of the Indoor Football League signed Murray on June 24, 2025.
Collegiately, Murray spent two seasons at UCLA (2018-19), playing 24 games at center and right guard for the Bruins. In 2018, he started three games at center before moving to right guard. In 2019, he started at right guard in 12 games. The Bruins put together a streak of five straight 200-yard rushing games for the first time since 1978.
Then, he transferred to Oklahoma (2020-22), playing 30 games for the Sooners, including 25 starts at right guard in his last two seasons. In 2021, he was named Second Team All-Big 12 by the Associated Press after starting 13 games at right guard. Oklahoma averaged 39.1 points per game, 451 yards per game, 263.5 passing yards per game, 187.5 rushing yards per game, and 63 touchdowns.
