The Saskatchewan Roughriders signed defensive back Jerry Jacobs on Thursday.

Jerry Jacobs is five foot eleven and weighs 203 pounds. The 28-year-old from Atlanta, Georgia, signed with the Detroit Lions as an undrafted free agent on May 14, 2021. He played three seasons in Detroit with 131 tackles (116 solos, 15 assists), nine tackles for loss, three quarterback hits, one sack, 23 pass breakups, four interceptions for 83 yards, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery in 40 games, of which 29 were starts.

The Los Angeles Rams signed Jacobs on July 27, 2024. In 2024, he played one preseason game. The Rams released him on August 21, 2024.

Collegiately, Jacobs spent one season at Hutchinson Community College in 2017 with 39 tackles (32 solos, 7 assists), 6.5 tackles for loss, four interceptions for 95 yards, one touchdown, and 12 pass breakups in 12 games for the Blue Dragons. He earned KJCC All-Conference honors.

Next, he transferred to Arkansas State University (2018-19) with 52 tackles (40 solos, 12 assists), four tackles for loss, four interceptions for 19 yards, and 14 pass breakups in 17 games for the Red Wolves. Then, he transferred to Arkansas in 2020 with 17 tackles (17 solos) and one tackle for loss in five games for the Razorbacks.
