The Hamilton Tiger-Cats signed defensive back Josiah Scott on Thursday.
Josiah Scott is five foot nine and weighs 185 pounds. The 26-year-old from Hamilton, Ohio, was drafted by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the fourth round (137th pick) of the 2020 NFL Draft. He also spent time with the Philadelphia Eagles and the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Scott played 39-career NFL games with 51 tackles (38 solos, 13 assists), four tackles for loss, one quarterback hit, one sack, and eight pass breakups.
Collegiately, Scott spent three seasons at Michigan State (2017-19) with 98 tackles (66 solos, 32 assists), two tackles for loss, seven interceptions for 46 yards, 32 pass breakups, two forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery in 30 games for the Spartans.
In 2019, he was named Second Team All-Big Ten after finishing the season with a career-high 55 tackles (38 solos, 17 assists), three interceptions for 34 yards, 11 pass breakups, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery in 13 games.
