The St. Louis Battlehawks signed wide receiver Steven McBride on Tuesday according to James Larsen.
Steven McBride is six foot one and weighs 165 pounds. A native of Napoleonville, Louisiana, McBride signed with the Massachusetts Pirates of the Indoor Football League on May 26, 2025. In 2025, he made 14 catches for 153 yards, one touchdown, five carries for 34 yards, one rushing touchdown, 14 kick returns for 202 yards, and one tackle (1 solo) in seven games.
Collegiately, McBride spent three seasons at Kansas (2020-22) with 21 catches for 128 yards and two carries for seven yards in 24 games for the Jayhawks. Then, he transferred to Hawaii in 2023 with a career-high 63 catches for 1,024 yards, nine touchdowns, and 12 punt returns for 68 yards in 13 games for the Rainbow Warriors.
