The Saskatchewan Roughriders signed punter Oscar Chapman on Monday.
Oscar Chapman is six foot three and weighs 211 pounds. The 26-year-old from Adelaide, Australia, signed with the Minnesota Vikings as an undrafted free agent on May 9, 2025. In 2025, he punted the ball three times for 157 yards (52.3 AVG) with a long of 58 yards in three preseason games. The Vikings released him on August 25, 2025.
Collegiately, Chapman spent five seasons at Auburn (2020-24), punting the ball 243 times for 10,573 yards (43.5 AVG) with a long of 71 yards, 81 punts from inside the 20-yard line (33%), two carries for 16 yards, and one tackle (1 solo) in 59 games for the Tigers.
In 2024, he punted the ball 41 times for 1,741 yards (42.5 AVG) with a long of 62 yards, 11 punts from inside the 20-yard line (26.8%), one carry for six yards, and one tackle (1 solo) in 12 games. He concluded his collegiate career ranking sixth in conference history in total punts (243) and eighth in punting yards (10, 573).
