The Hamilton Tiger-Cats released quarterback Harrison Frost on Monday according to the CFL Transactions page.
Harrison Frost is six foot one and weighs 194 pounds. The 27-year-old from Kennesaw, Georgia, re-signed with the Tiger-Cats on October 29, 2024. In 2025, Frost suited up in five games as the team’s third-string quarterback. The Tiger-Cats re-signed Frost on January 27, 2026.
The Seattle Sea Dragons signed Frost on January 21, 2023, but he did not see any action. The Sea Dragons were not included in the XFL and USFL merger, which formed the United Football League (UFL). In addition, Frost joined the Virginia Cavaliers staff as a graduate assistant in July 2023 and was invited to the New Orleans Saints rookie minicamp.
The Hamilton Tiger-Cats signed Frost on March 7, 2024. In 2024, he completed 24 of 32 passes (75%) for 222 yards and one touchdown in one preseason game to earn a spot on the practice squad. completed 8 of 12 passes (66%) for 95 yards and one touchdown in 12 games. The Ticats released Frost on October 26, 2024.
Collegiately, Frost played three seasons at Mercer University (2017-20), completing 87 of 169 passes (51%) for 1,047 yards, 9 touchdowns, 8 interceptions, 24 carries for -40 yards, one touchdown, and one tackle (1 assist) in 27 games for the Bears. He was named to the All-SoCon Fall Academic Team in 2019.
Then, Frost transferred to West Georgia (2021-22), completing 548 of 880 passes (62%) for 6,730 yards, 50 touchdowns, 18 interceptions, 35 carries for 81 yards, one touchdown, and one tackle (1 solo) in 22 games for the Wolves. In 2022, Frost threw for 3,112 yards on the season, ranking second most in a single season in school history.
