The Winnipeg Blue Bombers signed defensive back Deandre Lamont on Friday according to the CFL Transactions page.
Deandre Lamont is five foot eleven and weighs 190 pounds. The 27-year-old from Baytown, Texas, re-signed with the Redblacks on January 28, 2025. In 2025, he made 40 tackles, two tackles on special teams, and one interception for 18 yards in 12 games.
The Ottawa Redblacks signed Lamont on May 4, 2023. In 2023, he made 25 tackles, one tackle on special teams, and two interceptions for 44 yards in 11 games. In 2024, he made 86 tackles, five tackles on special teams, and one interception in 18 games.
Collegiately, Lamont played five seasons at Central Arkansas (2017-21) with 150 tackles (95 solos, 55 assists), five tackles for loss, five interceptions for 35 yards, 20 pass breakups, one forced fumble, five fumble recoveries, and one blocked kick in 37 games for the Bears. He was First Team All-SUN in 2021.
Then, he transferred to Illinois State in 2022 with 68 tackles (35 solos, 33 assists), three tackles for loss, two sacks, one interception for three yards, four pass breakups, and one forced fumble in 11 games for the Redbirds.
