The Orlando Storm signed running back Lawrence Toafili on Friday according to James Larsen.

Lawrence Toafili is six foot and weighs 185 pounds. The 24-year-old from St. Petersburg, Florida, signed with the New York Jets as an undrafted free agent on July 29, 2025.

In 2025, Toafili had 15 carries for 79 yards, one rushing touchdown, one catch for nine yards, and one kick return for 21 yards in three preseason games. The Jets released him on August 24, 2025, and re-signed him to the practice squad on September 1, 2025. They released him again on October 3, 2025.

Collegiately, Toafili spent five seasons at Florida State (2020-24) with 340 carries for 1,895 yards, 15 rushing touchdowns, 92 catches for 904 yards, four touchdowns, and two tackles (1 solo, 1 assist) in 55 games for the Seminoles.

In 2023, he had 69 carries for a career-high 463 yards, four rushing touchdowns, 21 catches for 185 yards, and one touchdown in 13 games. In the ACC Championship Game against Louisville, Toafili had 10 carries for 118 yards and one rushing touchdown on his way to being named the MVP.

In 2024, he had a career-high 109 carries for 456 yards, three rushing touchdowns, 25 catches for 215 yards, and one tackle (1 solo) in 12 games.
