Broc Feeney starts 2026 off with a win at Sydney Motorsport Park

The Repco Supercars Championship kicked off the 2026 season on Friday night for Race 1 of the DUNLOP Sydney 500 from Sydney Motorsports Park. The race distance was 26 laps. The Blanchard Racing Team teammates of James Golding and Aaron Cameron were on the front row to start the race.

Golding flinched before the lights went out, allowing Aaron Cameron to take the lead on the opening lap. Cameron led the opening 14 laps when everyone made their first and only pit stops of the night. James Golding took the lead on lap 15. He led three laps before coming to pit road, and Broc Feeney took the lead on lap 19. He led the final eight laps to win his first race of the season by 2.934 seconds over Aaron Cameron.

James Golding, Matthew Payne, and Cameron Waters rounded out the top five. Anton De Pasquale, Will Brown, Andre Hemigartner, Thomas Randle, and Brodie Kostecki completed the top ten.
