The Houston Gamblers released defensive end Mitchell Aguda on Tuesday according to the UFL Transactions page.

Mitchell Aguda is six foot four and weighs 262 pounds. The 26-year-old from Corona, California, was drafted by the Houston Gamblers in the 2026 UFL Draft.

The Miami Dolphins signed Aguda as an undrafted free agent on May 12, 2023. In 2023, he made five tackles (4 solos, 1 assist), one quarterback hit, and one sack in three preseason games. The Dolphins released him on August 28, 2023.

The Detroit Lions signed Aguda to the practice squad on September 20, 2023. They re-signed him on January 24, 2024. In 2024, he made 12 tackles (6 solos, 6 assists) and one quarterback hit in three preseason games. In the regular season, Aguda made three tackles (2 solos, 1 assist) and one forced fumble in four games. In 2025, he made five tackles (3 solos, 2 assists) in four preseason games. The Lions released him on August 26, 2025.

Collegiately, Aguda spent two seasons at Riverside City College (2017-18) with 67 tackles (38 solos, 29 assists), 14 tackles for loss, five sacks, two pass breakups, two forced fumbles, and one blocked kick in 20 games for the Tigers.

Next, he transferred to UCLA (2020-21) with 78 tackles (43 solos, 35 assists), 15.5 tackles for loss, 4.5 sacks, four pass breakups, seven forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery in 19 games for the Bruins. In 2021, he was named Second Team All-Pac 12 after finishing the season with a career-high 54 tackles (25 solos, 29 assists), 6.5 tackles for loss, two sacks, three pass breakups, four forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery in 12 games.

Then, he transferred to Miami (FL) in 2022 with 39 tackles (21 solos, 18 assists), seven tackles for loss, four sacks, and one forced fumble in 12 games for the Hurricanes.
