The D.C. Defenders signed defensive end Devonta Davis on Tuesday according to the UFL Transactions page.

Devonta Davis is six foot three and weighs 296 pounds. The 25-year-old from Union Springs, Alabama, signed with the Indianapolis Colts as an undrafted free agent on May 9, 2025. In 2025, he made three tackles (3 assists) in three preseason games. The Colts released him on August 26, 2025.

Collegiately, Davis spent three seasons at Jackson State University (2021-23) with 66 tackles (35 solos, 31 assists), 18.5 tackles for loss, 7.5 sacks, three forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery in 36 games for the Tigers. In 2021, he made a career-high 24 tackles (14 solos, 10 assists), 9.5 tackles for loss, three sacks, and one forced fumble in 12 games.

Then, he transferred to Florida Atlantic University in 2024 with a new career-high 29 tackles (13 solos, 16 assists), five tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, and one forced fumble in 12 games for the Owls.
