The Winnipeg Blue Bombers signed wide receiver Jamoi Mayes on Friday.
Jamoi Mayes is five foot ten and weighs 206 pounds. The 23-year-old from Griffin, Georgia, signed with the Cincinnati Bengals as an undrafted free agent on May 9, 2025. In 2025, he made one catch for 48 yards in three preseason games. The Bengals released him on August 26, 2025.
Collegiately, Mayes spent four seasons at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (2020-23) with 123 catches for 1,963 yards, eight touchdowns, one carry for three yards, four kick returns for 99 yards, 19 punt returns for 80 yards, two tackles (2 solos), one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery in 37 games for the Mocs.
In 2023, he was named First Team All-SoCon after finishing the season with a career-high 62 catches for 1,037 yards, four touchdowns, one carry for three yards, one kick return for 17 yards, nine punt returns for 54 yards, one tackle (1 solo), one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery in 13 games. His receiving total in 2023 ranked fourth in school history. He was also named Fourth Team All-SoCon by Phil Steele in 2022.
Then, he transferred to Cincinnati in 2024 with 29 catches for 349 yards, one touchdown, and four punt returns for 22 yards in 12 games for the Bearcats.
