The B.C. Lions signed quarterback Gevani McCoy and wide receiver Jaden Williams on Thursday according to the CFL Transactions page.
Gevani McCoy is six foot and weighs 195 pounds. A native of Baldwin Hills, California, McCoy began is collegiate career at the University of Idaho (2021-23), completing 448 of 684 passes (65%) for 5,834 yards, 43 touchdowns, 19 interceptions, 183 carries for 301 yards, five rushing touchdowns, one catch for 14 yards, one touchdown, and one tackle (1 assist) in 26 games for the Vandals.
In 2023, he was named First Team All-Big Sky Conference and a finalist for the Walter Payton Award after finishing the season completing 229 of 354 passes (65%) for 2,910 yards, 15 touchdowns, eight interceptions, 88 carries for 188 yards, and two rushing touchdowns in 12 games.
He was also named Third Team All-Big Sky Conference, Hero Sports All-American, Big Sky Freshman of the Year, the winner of the Jerry Rice Award in 2022 after finishing the season completing 204 of 298 passes (68%) for 2,719 yards, 27 touchdowns, seven interceptions, 75 carries for 89 yards, three rushing touchdowns, one catch for 14 yards, one touchdown, and one tackle (1 assist) in 11 games.
Next, he transferred to Oregon State in 2024, completing 123 of 202 passes (61%) for 1,300 yards, six touchdowns, three interceptions, 59 carries for 328 yards, and five rushing touchdowns in 10 games for the Beavers.
Then, he transferred to Temple in 2025, completing 24 of 33 passes (73%) for 256 yards, two touchdowns, and 16 carries for 31 yards in eight games for the Owls.
Jaden Williams is five foot eleven and weighs 182 pounds. A native of Pflugerville, Texas, Williams attended the Las Vegas Raiders rookie minicamp in 2025.
Collegiately, Williams spent three seasons at Boston College (2021-23) with 34 catches for 478 yards, four touchdowns, one carry for nine yards, one rushing touchdown, three kick returns for 48 yards, and six punt returns for 45 yards in 24 games for the Eagles.
Then, Williams transferred to Texas State in 2024 with a career-high 57 catches for 807 yards, seven touchdowns, one carry for nine yards, and two tackles (2 solos) in 13 games for the Bobcats.
