The Hamilton Tiger-Cats signed wide receiver Keric Wheatfall to a two-year contract through the 2027 season on Tuesday.
Keric Wheatfall is six foot two and weighs 194 pounds. The 26-year-old from Cypress, Texas, made 42 catches for 655 yards and four touchdowns in 16 games for the Blue Bombers in 2025. In the East Semi-Final against the Montreal Alouettes, Wheatfall made five catches for 104 yards.
The Philadelphia Eagles signed Wheatfall as an undrafted free agent on May 16, 2022. In 2022, he attended training camp and was released on August 16, 2022. The Philadelphia Stars signed Wheatfall on December 13, 2022. In 2023, he spent the season on injured reserve.
The Winnipeg Blue Bombers signed Wheatfall on January 22, 2024. In 2024, he made 13 catches for 273 yards and one touchdown in seven games. In the Grey Cup playoffs, Wheatfall made two catches for 29 yards.
Collegiately, Wheatfall played two seasons at Blinn College (2017-18) with 72 catches for 1,173 yards, seven touchdowns, and seven kick returns for 112 yards in 20 games for the Buccaneers. Then, Wheatfall transferred to Fresno State (2019, 2021) with 55 catches for 923 yards, five touchdowns, two carries for two yards, and one kick return for 35 yards in 23 games for the Bulldogs.
