The Columbus Aviators acquired tight end Briley Moore-McKinney from the D.C. Defenders for defensive tackle Patrick Jenkins on Tuesday according to the UFL Transactions page.
Briley Moore-McKinney is six foot four and weighs 250 pounds. The 28-year-old from Blue Spring, Missouri, re-signed with the Defenders on October 24, 2024. In 2025, he made 15 catches for 205 yards and two touchdowns in 10 games. In the UFL playoffs, he made two catches for 13 yards and one touchdown in two games, helping the Defenders win the UFL Championship over the Michigan Panthers. The Defenders drafted him in the 2026 UFL Draft.
Moore-McKinney signed with the Tennessee Titans as an undrafted free agent on May 14, 2021. He played one preseason game in 2022 with two catches for 14 yards. The D.C. Defenders drafted Moore-McKinney in the fifth round (33rd) in the 2023 XFL Draft. In 2023, he made 11 catches for 80 yards and one touchdown in eight games, helping the Defenders reach the XFL Championship game.
The Defenders re-signed Moore-McKinney on October 18, 2023. In 2024, he made nine catches for 51 yards and one touchdown in four games.
Collegiately, Moore-McKinney played four seasons at Northern Iowa (2016-19) with 85 catches for 1,116 yards, five touchdowns, and five kick returns for 54 yards in 36 games for the Panthers. He was named First Team All-MVFC and best Tight End in the MVC by HERO Sports in 2018.
Then, Moore-McKinney transferred to Kansas in 2020 with 22 catches for 338 yards, three touchdowns, and one tackle (1 solo) in nine games for the Wildcats.
Patrick Jenkins is six foot two and weighs 293 pounds. The 22-year-old from New Orleans, Louisiana, was drafted by the Columbus Aviators in the 2026 UFL Draft.
The Arizona Cardinals signed Jenkins as an undrafted free agent on May 27, 2025. In 2025, he made six tackles (3 solos, 3 assists), half a sack, and one quarterback hit in three preseason games. The Cardinals released him on August 25, 2025. The Atlanta Falcons signed Jenkins to the practice squad on December 31, 2025.
Collegiately, Jenkins spent two seasons at TCU (2020-21) with 27 tackles (12 solos, 15 assists), five tackles for loss, and one sack in 18 games for the Horned Frogs. Then, he transferred to Tulane (2022-24) with 107 tackles (57 solos, 50 assists), 27 tackles for loss, 13 sacks, two pass breakups, one forced fumble, and two fumble recoveries in 41 games for the Green Wave.
In 2022, he had a career-high 39 tackles (22 solos, 17 assists), nine tackles for loss, three sacks, and one fumble recovery in 14 games. In 2024, he made 33 tackles (15 solos, 18 assists), 6.5 tackles for loss, 4.5 sacks, and two pass breakups in 13 games.
