The Montreal Alouettes signed quarterbacks Dresser Winn and Anthony Brown Jr., and linebacker Donovan Manuel to two-year contracts on Monday.

Dresser Winn is six foot three and weighs 215 pounds. The 27-year-old from Dresden, Tennessee, signed with the Los Angeles Rams on July 22, 2025. In 2025, he completed 15 of 23 passes (65.2%) for 190 yards, one touchdown, and five carries for four yards in two preseason games. The Rams released him on August 24, 2025.

The Los Angeles Rams signed Winn as an undrafted free agent on May 4, 2023. In 2023, he completed 3 of 5 passes (60%) for 21 yards in one preseason game against the Denver Broncos. The Rams released him on August 29, 2023. Next, he signed with the Edmonton Elks on September 30, 2023. He spent several weeks on the practice squad before the Elks released him on October 17, 2023.

The Rams re-signed Winn on November 1, 2023. He finished the season on the practice squad. In 2024, he completed 9 of 16 passes (56.2%) for 72 yards and three carries for 20 yards in one preseason game against the Houston Texans. The Rams released him on August 25, 2024.

The Memphis Showboats signed Winn on March 10, 2025. In 2025, Winn completed 80 of 137 passes (58.4%) for 834 yards, three touchdowns, four interceptions, 13 carries for 52 yards, and one rushing touchdown in five games. The Showboats released him on June 25, 2025.

Collegiately, Winn played six seasons at the University of Tennessee-Martin (2017-22) completing 492 of 814 passes (60%) for 5,800 yards, 37 touchdowns, 24 interceptions, 174 carries for 164 yards, nine touchdowns, punting the ball 26 times for 1,044 yards (40.2 AVG), three touchbacks, nine fair catches, eight from inside the 20-yard line, and five from 50-plus yards in 32 games for the Skyhawks. He was named Second Team All-OVC in 2022.

Anthony Brown Jr. is six foot one and weighs 217 pounds. The 27-year-old from Aberdeen Township, New Jersey, signed with the Houston Roughnecks on February 7, 2025. In 2025, he completed 27 of 56 passes (48.2%) for 207 yards, one touchdown, three interceptions, and seven carries for 61 yards in three games.

The Baltimore Ravens signed Brown Jr. as an undrafted free agent on May 6, 2022. In 2022, he completed 35 of 47 passes (74.5%) for 464 yards, three touchdowns, one touchdown, five carries for 22 yards, one touchdown, and one tackle (1 assist) in three preseason games. In the regular season, he completed 22 of 49 passes (44.9%) for 302 yards, two interceptions, and three carries for -5 yards in one game.

In 2023, he completed 21 of 39 passes (53.8%) for 218 yards, two touchdowns, two interceptions, and 14 carries for 93 yards in three preseason games. The Ravens released him on September 4, 2023. He also spent time with the Las Vegas Raiders, Buffalo Bills, and the Arizona Cardinals.

Collegiately, Brown Jr. played three seasons at Boston College (2017-19), completing 373 of 680 passes (55%) for 4,738 yards, 40 touchdowns, 20 interceptions, 129 carries for 423 yards, four touchdowns, four catches for 91 yards, three touchdowns, and one tackle (1 solo) in 28 games for the Eagles.

Then, he transferred to Oregon (2020-21), completing 265 of 413 passes (64%) for 3,153 yards, 20 touchdowns, seven interceptions, 158 carries for 698 yards, 11 touchdowns, and one tackle (1 solo) in 16 games for the Ducks. He was a Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award finalist in 2021.

Donovan Manuel is six foot one and weighs 230 pounds. A native of Ellenwood, Georgia, Manuel signed with the Houston Roughnecks on October 4, 2024. They released him on January 13, 2025.

The Minnesota Vikings signed Manuel as an undrafted free agent on May 10, 2024. The Vikings released him on May 16, 2024. The Houston Roughnecks drafted Manuel in the fourth round (26th pick) in the 2024 UFL College Draft.

Collegiately, Manuel played four seasons at East Tennessee State (2018-21) with 232 tackles (118 solo, 114 assists), 17 tackles for loss, 7.5 sacks, three interceptions for 25 yards, three pass breakups, two forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries in 34 games for the Pirates. He was named a three-time All-American and two-time First Team All-SoCon.

Then, Manuel transferred to Florida International University (2022-23) with 218 tackles (116 solo, 102 assists), 24 tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, six pass breakups, five forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery in 24 games for the Panthers. He was named an All-C-USA Honorable Mention in 2022.
