The Columbus Aviators signed wide receiver Antwane Wells Jr. and defensive end Adam Plant Jr. on Friday according to the UFL Transactions page.
Antwane Wells Jr. is six foot one and weighs 201 pounds. The 24-year-old from Richmond, Virginia, signed with the New York Giants as an undrafted free agent on May 9, 2025. In 2025, he made four catches for 24 yards in three preseason games. The Giants released him on August 26, 2025, and re-signed him to the practice squad on October 13, 2025. The Giants released him again on October 28, 2025.
Collegiately, Wells spent two seasons at James Madison University (2020-21) with 116 catches for 1,853 yards, 21 touchdowns, and one tackle (1 solo) in 22 games for the Dukes. In 2021, he made a career-high 83 catches for 1,250 yards and 15 touchdowns in 14 games.
Wells was named Second Team All-Conference by Stats Perform and HERO Sports, and Second Team All-American by Stats Perform, HERO Sports, and Phil Steele, and two-time VaSID First Team All-State.
Next, he transferred to South Carolina (2022-23) with 71 catches for 965 yards, seven touchdowns, three carries for 10 yards, one rushing touchdown, and one tackle (1 solo) in 16 games for the Gamecocks. He was named Second Team All-SEC by the Associated Press and First Team All-SEC in 2022 after finishing the season with 68 catches for 928 yards, six touchdowns, and one tackle (1 solo) in 13 games.
Then, he transferred to Ole Miss in 2024 with 28 catches for 553 yards, six touchdowns, five carries for four yards, and one tackle (1 solo) in 13 games for the Rebels. He was named an All-SEC Honorable Mention by the College Football Network. He was also invited to the East-West Shrine Bowl.
Adam Plant Jr. is six foot six and weighs 270 pounds. The 25-year-old from Las Vegas, Nevada, played for the Vegas Knight Hawks in 2025 with 16 tackles (6 solos, 10 assists), 2.5 tackles for loss, one pass breakup, and one fumble recovery in four games, helping the Knight Hawks win the IFL Championship over the Green Bay Blizzard.
The Las Vegas Raiders signed Plant Jr. as an undrafted free agent on May 12, 2023. In 2023, he made four tackles (4 assists) in three preseason games. The Raiders released him on August 29, 2023. The Hamilton Tiger-Cats signed Plant Jr. on January 26, 2024. In 2024, he made one tackle in two preseason games. The Tiger-Cats released him on June 1, 2024.
The Massachusetts Pirates signed Plant Jr. on June 5, 2024. In 2024, he made six tackles (3 solos, 3 assists) and one pass breakup in two games.
Collegiately, Plant Jr. played one season at TCU in 2019, appearing in 12 games with three tackles (2 solo, 1 assist) against the Texas Longhorns. Then, he transferred to UNLV (2020-22) with 139 tackles (71 solos, 68 assists), 27.5 tackles for loss, 15 sacks, and four forced fumbles in 28 games for the Rebels.
