The Houston Gamblers signed tight end Armani Rogers on Thursday according to the UFL Transactions page.

Armani Rogers is six foot five and weighs 225 pounds. The 28-year-old from Buffalo, New York, signed with the Washington Commanders as an undrafted free agent on May 6, 2022. In 2022, he made five catches for 64 yards, two carries for 26 yards, and three tackles (1 solo, 2 assists) in 11 games, of which three were starts.

He dealt with an Achilles injury and missed the 2023 season. The Commanders released him on August 6, 2024, and the Philadelphia Eagles acquired him via waivers on August 7, 2024. In 2024, he made two catches for 24 yards in two preseason games. The Eagles released him on August 27, 2024. He also spent time with the Atlanta Falcons and the Buffalo Bills.

Collegiately, Rogers spent four seasons at UNLV (2016-19), playing quarterback, completing 192 of 385 passes (49.9%) for 2,465 yards, 18 touchdowns, 12 interceptions, 289 carries for 1,549 yards, 18 rushing touchdowns, and two tackles (2 solos) in 21 games for the Rebels. He was named the Mountain West Freshman of the Year in 2017.

Then, he transferred to Ohio (2020-21), completing 34 of 58 passes (59%) for 398 yards, one touchdown, one interception, 111 carries for 666 yards, nine rushing touchdowns, and two catches for two yards in 15 games for the Bobcats.
