The Louisville Kings released linebacker Monty Rice on Wednesday according to the UFL Transactions page.
Monty Rice is six foot and weighs 233 pounds. The 27-year-old from Huntsville, Alabama, was drafted by the Louisville Kings in the 2026 UFL Draft.
The Tennessee Titans drafted Rice in the third round (92nd pick) of the 2021 NFL Draft. He played three seasons in Tennessee with 128 tackles (70 solos, 58 assists), five tackles for loss, and two pass breakups in 35 games. He also spent time with the New Orleans Saints, Atlanta Falcons, New England Patriots, and the Detroit Lions. In New England, he made one tackle (1 solo) in three games, and in Detroit made two tackles (2 solos) in one game.
Collegiately, Rice spent four seasons at Georgia (2017-20) with 219 tackles (115 solos, 104 assists), 10.5 tackles for loss, two sacks, five pass breakups, three forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery in 47 games for the Bulldogs. He was named First Team All-SEC and Second Team All-American in 2020 and Second Team All-SEC in 2019.
