The Dallas Renegades signed defensive tackle Darrius Moragne on Wednesday according to the UFL Transactions page.
Darrius Moragne is six foot five and weighs 295 pounds. The 28-year-old from Holland, Michigan, signed with the Houston Roughnecks on August 22, 2024. In 2025, he made eight tackles (2 solos, 6 assists), one tackle for loss, and one pass breakup in nine games.
In 2021, Moragne played for the Jousters (TSL), helping them to appear in the Mega Bowl, where they lost to the Linemen. In 2022, Moragne was drafted by the Pittsburgh Maulers (USFL) in the tenth round (354th pick) of the 2022 USFL Supplemental Draft. He made 16 tackles (9 solo, 7 assists), three tackles for loss, and 1.5 sacks in five games before an injury sidelined him, and he was later released.
In 2023, Moragne had signed a letter of intent to play for the San Antonio Brahmas before the XFL and USFL merged to form the United Football League (UFL), and he later signed with the Arlington Renegades on February 19, 2024. Moragne did not play for the Renegades in 2024 and was released on May 23, 2024. Moragne signed with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats on May 24, 2024. He played in two preseason games with two tackles before he was released on June 1, 2024.
Collegiately, Moragne played one season at Arizona Western College in 2017 with 13 tackles (3 solos, 10 assists), one tackle for loss, one sack, and one pass breakup in nine games for the Matadors. Then, he transferred to Kansas (2018-19) with 45 tackles (34 solos, 11 assists), 5.5 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, and one pass breakup in 15 games for the Jayhawks.
