The Birmingham Stallions signed wide receiver John Ross on Wednesday according to the UFL Transactions page.
John Ross is five foot eleven and weighs 190 pounds. The 30-year-old from Long Beach, California, was drafted by the Cincinnati Bengals in the first round (9th pick) of the 2017 NFL Draft. Ross spent four seasons in Cincinnati with 51 catches for 733 yards, 10 touchdowns, and eight carries for 25 yards in 27 games.
Ross also spent time with the New York Giants, Kansas City Chiefs, and the Philadelphia Eagles. In New York, he made 11 catches for 224 yards, one touchdown, one carry for 16 yards, and one kick return for 12 yards in 10 games, and in Philadelphia made one catch for six yards in one game.
Collegiately, Ross spent three seasons at Washington (2013-16) with 114 catches for 1,729 yards, 22 touchdowns, 19 carries for 184 yards, two touchdowns, 85 kick returns for 2,048 yards, four touchdowns, four punt returns for 21 yards, one interception, 17 tackles (13 solos, 4 assists), and one pass breakup in 26 games for the Huskies. He was named First All-American, First Team All-Pac 12, and the Pac-12 Player of the Year in 2016.
