The B.C. Lions released kicker Ross Bolger and defensive lineman Kemoko Turay on Wednesday according to the CFL Transactions page.
Ross Bulger is five foot eleven and weighs 207 pounds. The 24-year-old from Laois, Ireland, was drafted by the B.C. Lions in the first round (4th pick) of the 2025 CFL Global Draft. In 2025, he spent the season on the practice squad. The Lions released him on November 11, 2025. The Lions re-signed Bulger on November 18, 2025.
Bulger played two seasons at Idaho State (2023-24) punting the ball 94 times for 4,033 yards (42.9 AVG), with a long of 66 yards, four touchbacks, 24 fair catches, 28 from inside the 20-yard line, 23 from 50-plus yards, 48 kickoffs for 2,655 yards (55.3 AVG), and 32 touchbacks in 23 games for the Tigers.
In 2024, Bulger punted the ball 46 times for 2,051 yards (44.6 AVG) and 13 kickoffs for 764 yards (58.8 AVG) with six touchbacks in 12 games for the Tigers. He finished the season 13th in the nation in net punting.
Before coming to America, Bulger played Gaelic football as a full forward for Club Killeshin and County Laois. Bolger was named to the NFL International Pathway program for 2025.
Kemoko Turay is six foot five and weighs 248 pounds. The 30-year-old from Newark, New Jersey, signed with the B.C. Lions on April 22, 2025. In 2025, he made 16 tackles and two sacks in 12 games.
The Indianapolis Colts drafted Turay in the second round (52nd pick) of the 2018 NFL Draft. He played four seasons in Indianapolis with 33 tackles (22 solos, 11 assists), 7 tackles for loss, 12 sacks, two forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery in 38 games, of which three were starts. He became a free agent after the 2021 season.
The San Francisco 49ers signed Turay on April 18, 2022. In 2022, he made one tackle (1 solo) in three games. Turay also spent time with the Atlanta Falcons and the Carolina Panthers. Turay signed with the St. Louis Battlehawks on October 24, 2024. He attended training camp and was released on March 20, 2025.
Collegiately, Turay played four seasons at Rutgers (2014-17) with 103 tackles (54 solos, 49 assists), 20.5 tackles for loss, 15.5 sacks, four pass breakups, one forced fumble, three fumble recoveries, one touchdown, and three blocked kicks in 44 games for the Scarlet Knights. He was an All-Big 10 Honorable Mention and the Football Writers Association of America Freshman All-America in 2014.
