The Ottawa Redblacks signed running back Jacquez Stuart on Tuesday according to the CFL Transactions page.
Jacquez Stuart is five foot nine and weighs 175 pounds. A native of Miami, Florida, Stuart attended the Philadelphia Eagles rookie minicamp in 2025.
Collegiately, Stuart spent six seasons at Toledo (2019-24) with 365 carries for 1,904 yards, 13 rushing touchdowns, 50 catches for 463 yards, one touchdown, 75 kick returns for 1,945 yards, three touchdowns, 14-yard punt return, one touchdown, and one tackle (1 solo) in 54 games for the Rockets.
In 2022, he had a career-high 134 carries for 770 yards, four rushing touchdowns, 10 catches for 45 yards, 14 kick returns for 259 yards, and one tackle (1 solo) in 14 games. He averaged 5.7 carries and 55 yards per game.
In 2023, he was named First Team All-MAC after finishing the season with 110 carries for 574 yards, six rushing touchdowns, 12 catches for 143 yards, one touchdown, and 20 kick returns for 582 yards, and one touchdown. He was third in the nation with a 29.1 kickoff return average.
In 2024, Stuart was named First Team All-MAC for the second straight season after finishing the season with 68 carries for 269 yards, two rushing touchdowns, 16 catches for 180 yards, 14 kick returns for 458 yards, and one touchdown in 12 games.
