The D.C. Defenders signed offensive lineman Solomon Kindley on Monday according to the UFL Transactions page.
Solomon Kindley is six foot four and weighs 335 pounds. The 28-year-old from Jacksonville, Florida, was drafted by the Miami Dolphins in the fourth round (111th pick) of the 2020 NFL Draft. He played 29 games in two seasons in Miami. The Dolphins released him on August 30, 2022. The New York Giants signed Kindley to the practice squad on October 5, 2022.
He spent the season on and off the practice squad. The Giants re-signed him on January 12, 2023. They released him on May 5, 2023.
Collegiately, Kindley spent four seasons at Georgia (2016-19), playing left guard in 43 games for the Bulldogs. In 2019, he played 13 games, of which 11 were starts, helping the Bulldogs win their third straight SEC East Division title and three straight New Year’s Six Bowl games. Georgia averaged 30.8 points per game, 408.1 yards per game, 223 passing yards per game, 185.1 rushing yards per game, and 50 touchdowns.
