The B.C. Lions signed wide receivers Demetric Felton and Bryan Thompson on Friday.
Demetric Felton Jr. is five foot nine and weighs 190 pounds. The 27-year-old from Memphis, Tennessee, was released by the Birmingham Stallions on January 8, 2025, and signed with the Washington Commanders on the same day. In 2025, Felton Jr. had 14 carries for 46 yards, seven catches for 137 yards, and one punt return for nine yards in three preseason games. The Commanders released him on August 26, 2025.
The Cleveland Browns drafted Felton Jr. in the sixth round (211th pick) of the 2021 NFL Draft. He played two seasons in Cleveland with eight carries for 20 yards, 20 catches for 189 yards, two touchdowns, 10 kick returns for 183 yards, 39 punt returns for 269 yards, and five tackles (3 solos, 2 assists) in 24 games. The Browns released him on August 29, 2023.
Felton Jr. also spent time with the Cincinnati Bengals, Chicago Bears, and the Indianapolis Colts. In 2024, Felton signed with the Chicago Bears on July 28, 2024. He played two preseason games with four carries for 13 yards and two catches for 10 yards.
The Bears released him on August 11, 2024, and he was acquired off waivers by the Indianapolis Colts on August 12, 2024. He had 13 carries for 57 yards, one touchdown, and two catches for eight yards in two preseason games. The Colts released him on August 27, 2024.
The Birmingham Stallions signed Felton Jr. on November 12, 2024. The Stallions released him on December 2, 2024, and he signed with the Chicago Bears on December 3, 2024. The Bears released him on December 10, 2024, and the Birmingham Stallions re-signed him on December 18, 2024.
Collegiately, Felton Jr. played four seasons at UCLA (2017-20) with 233 carries for 1,101 yards, seven touchdowns, 99 catches for 958 yards, eight touchdowns, 26 kick returns for 611 yards, one touchdown, and seven tackles (5 solos, 2 assists) in 36 games for the Bruins. He was named Second Team All-PAC 12 in 2020, and First Team All-Pac 12 by the AP and Pro Football Focus.
Bryan Thompson is six foot one and weighs 195 pounds. The 26-year-old from Moreno Valley, California, signed with the Buffalo Bills as an undrafted free agent on May 12, 2023. In 2023, he made two catches for 11 yards in three preseason games. He spent the season on the practice squad. The Bills re-signed him on January 22, 2024. In 2024, he appeared in one preseason game. He suffered a hamstring injury, and the Bills released him on August 22, 2024.
Collegiately, Thompson spent four seasons at Utah (2017-20) with 33 catches for 756 yards, four touchdowns, one carry for nine yards, one rushing touchdown, and one tackle (1 solo) in 33 games for the Utes. Then, he transferred to Arizona State (2021-22) with 38 catches for 507 yards and two carries for 17 yards in 22 games for the Sun Devils.
