The Saskatchewan Roughriders re-signed wide receiver KeeSean Johnson to a two-year contract extension through the 2027 season on Thursday.

KeeSean Johnson is six foot one and weighs 201 pounds. The 29-year-old from Palo Alto, California, made 86 catches for 1,159 yards, four touchdowns, six yards rushing, four kick returns for 12 yards, and six tackles in 16 games when the Roughriders won the 112th Grey Cup over the Montreal Alouettes.

The Arizona Cardinals drafted Johnson in the sixth round (174th pick) of the 2019 NFL Draft. He played two seasons in Arizona with 36 catches for 360 yards, one touchdown, and one carry for three yards in 18 games. Johnson also spent time with the Philadelphia Eagles, San Francisco 49ers, and Atlanta Falcons.

The Buffalo Bills signed Johnson as a free agent on October 11, 2022. He spent the season on the practice squad. In 2023, he made six catches for 59 yards and one punt return for two yards in three preseason games. The Bills released him on August 29, 2023.

The Saskatchewan Roughriders signed Johnson on February 28, 2024. In 2024, he made 56 catches for 746 yards, five touchdowns, and one tackle in 12 games.

Collegiately, Johnson played four seasons at Fresno State (2015-18) with 275 catches for 3,463 yards, 24 touchdowns, eight carries for 27 yards, 10 kick returns for 206 yards, 15 punt returns for 64 yards, three tackles (3 solo), and one forced fumble in 44 games for the Bulldogs. He was a two-time Second Team All-Mountain West Conference.
