The Calgary Stampeders re-signed defensive lineman Daniel Joseph to a contract extension and signed wide receiver Rashod Owens and linebacker Tyreem Powell on Wednesday.

Daniel Joseph is six foot two and weighs 261 pounds. The 28-year-old from Toronto, Ontario, signed with the Calgary Stampeders on September 9, 2025. In 2025, Joseph made three tackles and three tackles on special teams in six games.

Daniel Joseph signed with the Buffalo Bills in 2022 with five tackles (3 solos, 2 assists) and one sack in three preseason games. He signed with the Birmingham Stallions on August 24, 2023, but the USFL and XFL merged into the UFL. He was also drafted by the B.C. Lions in the first round (4th pick) of the 2021 CFL Draft.

The Seattle Sea Dragons drafted Joseph in the seventh round (50th pick) in the 2022 XFL Draft. In 2023, Joseph made eight tackles (4 solos, 4 assists), two tackles for loss, two sacks, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery in 11 games.

The Edmonton Elks signed Joseph on August 19, 2024. In 2024, he made five tackles and one sack in seven games. The Elks released him on May 2, 2025.

Collegiately, Joseph played three seasons at Penn State (2017-19) with 29 tackles (12 solos, 17 assists), 5.5 tackles for loss, five sacks, one pass breakup, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery in 32 games for the Nittany Lions.

Then, he transferred to N.C. State (2020-21) with 83 tackles (33 solos, 50 assists), 19 tackles for loss, 11.5 sacks, and two forced fumbles in 23 games for the Wolfpack.

Rashod Owens is six foot two and weighs 200 pounds. The 24-year-old from San Antonio, Texas, signed with the Cincinnati Bengals as an undrafted free agent on May 9, 2025. In 2025, he made three catches for 25 yards in three preseason games.

Collegiately, Owens spent five seasons at Oklahoma State (2020-24) with 120 catches for 1,771 yards, 10 touchdowns, and five tackles (5 solos) in 52 games for the Cowboys. Owens was named the Texas Bowl MVP in 2023 after making 10 catches for 164 yards and two touchdowns against Texas A&M.

Tyreem Powell is six foot four and weighs 249 pounds. The 24-year-old from Vineland, New Jersey, signed with the New Orleans Saints as an undrafted free agent on May 9, 2025. In 2025, he made three tackles (1 solo, 2 assists) and one pass breakup in three preseason games. The Saints released him on August 25, 2025.

Collegiately, Powell spent five seasons at Rutgers (2020-24) with 201 tackles (98 solos, 103 assists), 11.5 tackles for loss, five sacks, one interception for five yards, 10 pass breakups, and two forced fumbles in 43 games for the Scarlet Knights.

In 2024, he had a career-high 57 tackles (29 solos, 28 assists), 3.5 tackles for loss, two pass breakups, and one forced fumble in 10 games. He was named an All-Big Honorable Mention in 2024, and a three-time Academic All-Big Ten (2021, 2023-24).

Powell attended Vineland High School, where he played quarterback, throwing for 868 yards, eight touchdowns, rushing for 454 yards, five rushing touchdowns, and made 60 tackles and two interceptions. He guided the Fighting Clans to a win in the NJSIAA South Group 5 Tournament quarterfinals.

He was named a two-time All-South Jersey Team by the Philadelphia Inquirer and selected to the 2019 Jersey Sports Zone All-Zone Team. He was also named First Team All-South Jersey by Brooks-Irvine Memorial Football Club and named First Team All-Star by the Press of Atlantic City.
