The St. Louis Battlehawks signed tight end James Bostic III, offensive lineman Tyler Nebelung, and defensive end Chris Hardie on Monday according to the UFL Transactions page.
James Bostic III is six foot three and weighs 230 pounds. The 24-year-old from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, re-signed with the Battlehawks on August 28, 2024. In 2025, he attended training camp but was released on March 20, 2025.
The St. Louis Battlehawks drafted Bostic III in the 2023 XFL Rookie Draft. He did not play for the Battlehawks in 2024.
Collegiately, Bostic played three seasons at Vanderbilt (2018-20) with 12 catches for 124 yards and one tackle (1 solo) in 23 games for the Commodores. Then, Bostic transferred to Ohio (2021-22), with 38 catches for 641 yards, one touchdown, and one tackle (1 solo) in 26 games for the Bobcats. Bostic was named a two-time Academic All-MAC.
In high school, Bostic made 26 catches for 415 receiving yards and seven touchdowns as a senior at Cardinal Gibbons. He led the team to a 9-2 record, appearing in the 5A State Playoffs.
He is the son of James Bostic Jr., a former NFL player for the Philadelphia Eagles, Los Angeles Rams, Green Bay Packers, and the Birmingham Bolts. He played college at Auburn and was a two-time First Team All-SEC. His dad is now a police officer living in Coral Springs, Florida.
Tyler Nebelung is six foot five and weighs 331 pounds. The 23-year-old from Ramsey, Minnesota, spent five seasons at Southwest Minnesota State University (2021-25), playing 44 games for the Mustangs. In 2025, Nebelung was named Second Team All-NSIC South after starting 11 games. Southwest Minnesota State averaged 13.8 points per game, 269.2 yards per game, 233.6 passing yards per game, 35.6 rushing yards per game, and 20 touchdowns.
In addition to football, Nebelung competed in track & field, where he finished 10th in the weight throw 17.00m and finished 16th in the shot put 14.75m at the NSIC Championships in 2025. He won the weight throw at the CSB/SJU Invitational with a throw of 17.65, and won the weight throw at the Cobber Indoor Open with a throw of 17.45m
Chris Hardie is six foot two and weighs 265 pounds. The 25-year-old from Vincent, Alabama, spent five seasons at Jacksonville State University (2019-23) with 162 tackles (79 solos, 83 assists), 46.5 tackles for loss, 21.5 sacks, one interception for 58 yards, two pass breakups, two forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery in 48 games for the Gamecocks.
In 2023, he was named First Team All-CUSA after finishing the season with a career-high 61 tackles (34 solos, 27 assists), 16 tackles for loss, 8.5 sacks, one interception, and two pass breakups in 13 games.
Then, he transferred to Ole Miss in 2024 with six tackles (4 solos, 2 assists), 3.5 tackles for loss, and 1.5 sacks in eight games for the Rebels.
