The Edmonton Elks signed wide receiver Kisean Johnson on Tuesday according to the CFL Transactions page.
Kisean Johnson is six foot and weighs 216 pounds. A native of Birmingham, Alabama, Johnson signed with the Cleveland Browns as an undrafted free agent on May 12, 2025. In 2025, he played in three preseason games. The Browns released him on August 26, 2025. The Green Bay Packers signed Johnson to the practice squad on January 6, 2026.
Collegiately, Johnson spent four seasons at Alabama State (2020-23) with 104 catches for 1,487 yards, 11 touchdowns, seven carries for 26 yards, one rushing touchdown, completed one pass for 13 yards, and three tackles (2 solos, 1 assist) in 33 games for the Hornets.
In 2023, Johnson was named Second Team All-SWAC after finishing the season with a career-high 61 catches for 829 yards, seven touchdowns, six carries for 33 yards, one rushing touchdown, and one tackle (1 solo) in 10 games.
Then, he transferred to Western Kentucky in 2024 with a new career-high 75 catches for 925 yards, seven touchdowns, and three carries for 14 yards in 14 games for the Hilltoppers. He was named Second Team All-CUSA and Second Team All-CUSA by Phil Steele.
Johnson attended Ramsey High School, where in his senior season made 39 catches for 850 yards and nine touchdowns.
