The Columbus Aviators signed defensive tackle Paris Shand and released wide receiver Landon Parker on Tuesday according to the UFL Transactions page.
Paris Shand is six foot four and weighs 268 pounds. The 24-year-old from Toronto, Ontario, was drafted by the Toronto Argonauts in the second round (19th pick) of the 2025 CFL Draft. Shand signed with the Buffalo Bills as an undrafted free agent on April 26, 2025. In 2025, he made six tackles (3 solos, 3 assists) in three preseason games. The Bills released him on August 26, 2025.
Collegiately, Shand played three seasons at Arizona (2020-22) with 41 tackles (22 solos, 19 assists), 5.5 tackles for loss, five sacks, two forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery in 23 games for the Wildcats.
Then, he transferred to LSU (2023-24) with 41 tackles (15 solos, 26 assists), nine tackles for loss, four sacks, and three pass breakups in 25 games for the Tigers.
Landon Parker is six foot three and weighs 215 pounds. The 26-year-old from Concord, North Carolina, signed with the Indianapolis Colts as an undrafted free agent on May 9, 2025. In 2025, Parker made two catches for 12 yards and one tackle (1 assist) in three preseason games. The Colts released him on August 26, 2025. The Columbus Aviators drafted Parker in the 2026 UFL Draft.
Collegiately, Parker spent five seasons at Wofford College (2018-22) with 60 catches for 1,183 yards, six touchdowns, and punted the ball 45 times for 1,960 yards (43.6 AVG), with a long of 68 yards, five touchbacks, 11 fair catches, six from inside the 20-yard line, and 15 from 50-plus yards in 31 games for the Terriers.
In 2022, he had a career-high 40 catches for 803 yards, three touchdowns, and punted the ball 22 times for 944 yards (42.9 AVG), three touchbacks, nine fair catches, three from inside the 20-yard line, and seven from 50-plus yards in 11 games. He was named Third Team FCS All-American by SSPS.
Then, he transferred to Troy (2023-24) with 35 catches for 478 yards, one touchdown, completed one pass for 29 yards, and two tackles (2 solos) in 25 games for the Trojans. In 2024, he made 27 catches for 350 yards and one tackle (1 solo) in 12 games.
Parker attended Mt. Pleasant High School, where he made 54 catches for 1,210 yards and 17 touchdowns, while also punting and kicking in his senior year. He was named Rocky River Conference Special Teams Player of the Year, All-County, All-Region, and North Carolina Preps All-State. He also played basketball and baseball.
